Each gear has its durability.
In the universal war, both the unit and gears may get severe damages. But all the gears can be repaired by NPCs on the Steel Warship, including Avatars & Repair Shop and all the gears' shops. Talk to them, you'll find the Repair button and S-Repair (special repair) button.
Click this button and the gear you want to repair. It will cost you some galaxy gold. The amount of galaxy gold you spend is determined by how bad the gear is damaged.
If the gear is completely destroyed (Durability = 0), it will need special repair, which will cost you a Meteor.
