Guild, Fleet and Squad
The Mech-Merc Guild (MMG) is an organization of experienced mech-pilot mercenaries. The MMG is not a part of the Earth Alliance Government. They are in fact an independent body that oversees all MMG operations in the galaxy. As data collection is key, not only to understanding the common enemy, Mech pilot ranks carry no weight in the Alliance Government or military. However, high ranked pilots are a force to be reckoned with and are respected as such by those within the military.
In order to stimulate the mech-merc industry and ward against monopolies, the MMG promotes and rewards pilots for cooperation as well as competition. As such they have created a system through which pilots can organize themselves into FLEETS and SQUADS.
Fleets are larger than squads. Although they do not share potency, they provide an extended family of sorts which is something of great value out in the Big Empty. The MMG will periodically sponsor Fleet Wars, which allow fleets to compete against each other for bragging rights.
By reasonable responsibility assignment, the members in a fleet can gain much more benefit than solo players.
Create Fleet
Find the Fleet Manager (Steel Warship 558,635) to create your own fleet. But before this, you need to make sure three things: 1. Your pilot rank reaches Major; 2. There's 1,000,000 galaxy gold in your cabin; 3. You are not the member of any fleet.
Fleet System
Each fleet can only has five allied fleets and five enemy fleets at most. Moreover, only after both of the two Admirals agree can the two fleets ally. But each fleet Admiral can set the enemy fleet without the target fleet's permission. If a player belongs to your allied fleet, the fleet's name will be green; If a player belongs to your enemy fleet, the fleet's name will be red.
Promotion System
Player whose pilot rank has not reached Master Warrant Officer will be the Reserve member when join in the fleet. When he reached Master Warrant Officer, he will be promoted to Recruit automatically. The Fleet Admiral can promote Recruit to Ensign or Captain. What's more, Admiral can abdicate his position to anyone except the Reserve members. The Fleet Admiral, Captain and Ensigns can all invite players to join in the fleet. But only the Admiral can dismiss fleet members. Fleet member can never leave his fleet except that he has donated more than 1,000 galaxy gold to the fleet fund.
