3 days later at the colonies. Earth has made a surprise attack on the Gaia colony, a civilian colony.
"Hurry up and regroup the formation, time is short!"

Suddenly the sensors showed a sign coming from the southern side of the battlefield.
"An unknown ship sir, I think its from the requiem class."
"Set units 48-70 to the southern lines, they may not pass.. whatever it takes."
Suddenly a beam struck into the hangar of the captains ship. The captain quickly grabbed a heavenly wounded soldier which has been with him since military academy.
"Zia stay with us... its all gonna be fine.. just... stay with me please.."
"I am sorry captain... Gaia wasn't hit.. captain.. it seems this tomorrow wasn't mine."
The once so strong captain even wiped a tear away.
"All personal abandon ship, all surviving units close to the ship, escort the pods."

The captain fell on his knees, not believing his eyes..

The crew quickly left the cabin and the ship as soon as possible. The captain walked to the front screen of the ship.

Unexpected a small video broadcast came in.

"I have been in the war secretly since the surprise attack on earth. Now don't be stupid and come with me!"

The broadcast was shut down by the captain. He walked to the screen again.
"System set thrusters at maximal capacity. Initiate self-destruction sequence."

The unknown ship suddenly dropped a lot of unknown war vessels.

"Units 1 till 5 guard the ship.
Shinji take the remaining 19 units with you, don't let them escape"
Another broadcast came trough.
"To the guardian warship, hold your position we can not allow you to hunt down innocent survivors."

"Impossible!" The broadcast was shut down.
"But captain what if they are who they are saying?"
"We indeed have heard about the Destiny project but we have had a distress signal 2 days ago, telling Exodus was all but destroyed."
