So, you have decided to become a ranged, a good choice considering they can dominate in fleet wars. The main advantage of the ranged class is that they can use long range weapons !use this to your advantage! Do NOT go near enemies you are trying to kill, this is because as you progress in leveling (and, of course, obtaining better gears) you will start to fight monsters higher and higher than your level, and even though the monsters you may currently be fighting deal you from 1-20 points of damage, that will soon change. (currently, I can 6 hit robots that deal me around 400 damage)
Weapons
Currently there are (although it says that there are ?gauss rifles? and something else, but I think those will be released later or something)
Rifle
The weapon you start out with, good at taking out single enemies with medium skills,and a medium cooldown a very balanced weapon
Shotgun
A weapon that shoots multiple bullets at once, very useful for taking out hordes of robots, the shotgun has a whole range of skills,medium power, some good and some not so good, also has long cooldown time (comparatively)
Machine gun
A low-medium power weapon, but thats no problem because it has about .01 second coldown time, it fires single bullets very quickly, WARNING, can be VERY expensive to purchase bullets for, The skills are amazing for the machine gun, especially towards the higher levels
Flame gun
My personal weapon of choice, it has medium-high power, without skills it has medium range (Doomsky-fire remedies this problem though, by increasing your range by 3x roughly, and you learn it pretty quickly) no cooldown time,continous firing, and good-excellent skills, one last thing, always use flame eruption as your xp skill ;-).
Frost gun
I haven`t ever seen anyone use this weapon and I think its a lot like the flame gun, no guarantees though so try a low level one out before you buy a good one.
Leveling
1 -10
Level at the first map, steel warship, do the newbie quest to get aquinted with the game, the controls, and where everything is, and get some items and experience.
11-17
Level at the spiders and chariot things, start doing the blaze ocean quests as soon as you can.
17- 25
Level at the mammoth tanks, hint: if you go straigh to the right from the portal, you might run into the tactical cruiser spawn, these guys give u lots of exp, are slow, and don`t even fight back!
26- 35
Fight the planet poachers and do more quests, quests are a good way to get all refines at each level.
35-45
Fight the moon thingies and do the boss killing quests
45-
Go to earth scar, by niw you are probably good enough to lvl yourself and do quests without being told now you`re not a nooby noob anymore, you`re just a noob. Until you reach 100 that is ;-)!
