If you picked ranged as your unit you will have a machine gun already equiped but you have choice what gun to use if you have the right money. When i was low lvl i tried finding the best gun and here are my results to help you guys.
Machine Gun- This is just over average sorta gun. it shoots fast but u lose ammo super fast. But when it comes to killling your pretty much stronger then the rest. When you use the machine gun scatter attack it shoots faster then a melee attacks. But all guns have a downside and the downside to machine guns are if you shoot for too long your gun gets overheated which needs engine coolant which is 100k for a pack of 20. And when your gun over heats theattack power drops.
ShotGun- One of the best Guns ive ever seen. The do so much dmg at lvl one. it might look bad since it shoots slowly but it hits like 5 times.at once giving lots of dmg. the scatter attack is alrite on this since it does heaps of dmg but shoots slowly. Every like 3 seconds till attack again.
FrostGun- This is a average gun. But still its a pretty gud gun since its not hard to find good qualities of them or even +1's. They are the best when attacking a mob since they have a chance to freeze the monster which lasts like 5 seconds.
FlameGun- This practically the same as Frost gun except it does freeze them but its red. The monsters r like burnt or sumfin im not sure but tjhe do stay stuck for a while.
Rifle- This is probably the best gun ive seen. It has an attack power just below shotguns but it doesn shoot slowly at all. The scatter attack givs perfect amount of power if your helping freinds kill monsters too.
Finally but sadly this is the end to my guide but im giving you guys suthin gud. I found out a combo in killing boss's or even players.
1. Get a frost gun and shoot them till they freeze.
2. Now get out a machine gun and shoot them fast as you can but keep some coolant since the gun will overheat.
3. By the time youve dun sum decent dmg do step 1 again.
4. Now they should be healing themselves reli fast so try using sum single singles which hit one monster only.
Remember they will heal themselves when they are frozen.
